| The 17th JF episode "No "I" in Leader", airs Monday June 23 @ 8:00 PM on Toon Disney.

No 'I' in Leader
Casey really has grown up from being a cub at Pai Zhuq, He's taken initiative and stepped out to being the leader of the group. But now with RJ as a Ranger, things are a little differnet. Casey feels like a cub all over again. RJ tells him that Casey will always be the leader. And the team will always follow Casey.
basically during the ep. Casey is upset and becomes unsure of himself when RJ starts giving orders. RJ also changes there training time without telling casey. later the rangers fight a stronger version of the statue guards, mean while dai shi trains to unleash his next level of power, when master meow appears and tries to talk to jarrod. basically he tells jarrod the lion spirit is good and belongs with him (jarrod) and to not let dai shi's evil suppress the lion's power. RJ tells Casey the tiger spirit has always meant to the lead the other spirit animals not the wolf! than RJ and Casey join the others to defeat the statues. after they defeat them, dai shi starts looking for what he did with the map to the nexus. Camille comments asking its witch nexus. dia says the rhino. she says the one with the key to the rhino ranger power? he says yes, the strongest spirit ranger power will be his. |

The episode begins with RJ, Lily, and Theo all fighting each other in the loft. They are training. Casey shows up and points out that they usually start practice at 3:00pm. Lily tells Casey that RJ decided to start training at 2:00pm. Casey, a little bit frustrated that RJ decided to move the time of the practice without telling him, begins his training session.
Meanwhile, Grizzaka leads Dai Shi and Camille to a huge cave. He blasts the cave open, revealing an entire army of stone warriors. Grizzaka uses his Zakato power to revive two of the stone warriors. The stone warriors journey to the city to reign havoc. RJ, Lily, Theo, and Casey morph into action and try their best to defeat the two warriors. The two warriors turn to be too powerful, and fight the Rangers off. Theo and Lily ask Casey what his directions are, and Casey does not have any. RJ steps up and gives the team a plan. Quickly, the team initiates the plan and injures the two monsters. Casey accidentally gets in the way of RJ's beam and is caught in the explosion. The two warriors escape.
The team return to their training, only this time in a meadow rather than the loft. Rj decides to do some practice and teamwork drills. RJ morphs into Wolf Ranger and Casey/Lily/Theo morph into the Tiger/Cheetah/Jaguar Rangers. The three Rangers then battle RJ for training. During most of the battle, RJ is giving the Rangers a whopping. Then the Rangers summon the power of the Claw Cannon. RJ uses his Wolf Morpher to create an energy beam. Both beams clash, causing a huge explosion. Afterwards, RJ senses that Casey's Spirit was not at it's best.
Dai Shi summons an army of Rin Shi to battle him. He figures that the only way he will unlock the Zakato power is if he is in a "near-death" experience. While Dai Shi fights, Grizzaka sends the two warriors back to destroy the city. RJ tells Lily & Theo to go and fight the warriors while he finds out whats wrong with Casey. Casey and RJ work things out and to to battle the two warriors. Casey and RJ fight one warrior, Theo and Lily fight the other. The Rangers transform into their Jungle Master Modes and summon the Claw Cannon. RJ uses his Morpher to create a blast. The Rangers combine the beams and destroy the two warriors.
The two warrior grow giant, so the Rangers call the Jungle Master Megazord. The Jungle Master Megazord is unable to fight both warriors. RJ uses one of his Wolf Zord's techniques, with is turning one Wolf Zord into three. The two "clone" Wolf Zords turn into the Tiger and Jaguar. RJ combines all three Zords to create the Wolf Pride Megazord. Together both Megazords destroy the stone warriors once and for all. The Rangers return to the Jungle Karma Pizza restaurant to relax. Fran introduces her new dish, fish and chocolate. Everybody seems to hate it but RJ, who can't get enough of the stuff.
After struggling against the Rin Shi warriors, Dai Shi finally kills them all. Unfortunately, he still has not mastered the Zakato power. The spirits of Master Mao visits Dai Shi, saying that "Jarrod must break away form the evil." Dai Shi reveals that he is in control, but Master Mao says that the bond between Jarod and his animal spirit is a strong "Nexus." Master Mao fades away. The word "Nexus" echo's in Dai Shi's head. Dai Shi smiles an evil smile, and goes to the hidden temples (that are inside his layer). He tears the place apart trying to look for a map to the "Rhino Nexus." Camille joins him, claiming that she spent hundreds of years in the temple waiting, and that she knows where everything is. Dai Shi laughs as he tells Camille the Rhino Nexus is the most powerful Nexus, and it will soon be at his control. |

Yeah...definitely a standalone episode. I'm looking forward to the ending more than anything. Honestly, I don't see any development on Casey...

| I'm not in the mood for a big review so:
Well, the episode was one of my least favorites throughout the season so far. There were few exceptional scenes, but the main plot, and character focus was disappointing.
The fight scenes were nice (especially RJ's fights). Ironically I enjoyed Dai Shi's battle/training against the Rin Shi. Pretty intense if you ask me. Master Mao making an appearance was a cool touch, and it somewhat cleared the "Dai Shi/Jarrod" confusion. I really enjoyed the ending also. For these reasons, that's why I gave it a low 3.

| I watched it! I thought it was awesome. I'm still confused on what Master Mao wanted of Dai Shi/Jarrod. Is he saying that there's still good in Jarrod? I really liked the ending!

| You know? There's something very wrong when you start thinking that maybe Nick wasn't so bad.
This... This has got to be the worse episode of Jungle Fury yet. Worse than Good Karma Bad Karma. Why on earth was Casey thinking RJ was stepping into his territory? What's Casey beef? So RJ doesn't tell Casey they change practice time by an hour and Casey gets all mopey? He gets mad because RJ starts taking over in battle and giving basic orders? Dude, RJ BEEN DOING THIS ALL SEASON LONG! RJ wasn't overstepping his bourdies, he was just doing what has done all season long, guide the rangers, train them, etc.
Now this is the main problem with this episode, why on earth is Casey the leader? He an inexperience rookie. A cub. Both Lily and Theo have been at the academy for how long exactly? And RJ is a freakin' master. By all rights, Casey should not be leader. RJ should, or at the very least, one of the other two. Casey has never once came up with battle plans or strategies or told the team to train. Never! Why are the writers acting like he has? It would have bee soooo better if they had never brought up this whole leadership thing because for the most part, the team seem to pretty much been on equal footing. It's like they only made Casey the leader because their under the belief of "Red Ranger leader because he's Red." Again, if anybody should be leading this team, it should be RJ or the other two.
RJ never did anything wrong, he was just doing what he always done before donning the spandex so I don't get why he admit he did. And Why? Because he's overexcited about being a ranger. Dude, you had a MORPHER in your cabinet for god knows how long that you decided to bust out now of all times! Yeah, I'm not even touching the whole Dai Shi thing. While I'll admit the the final scene with Fran and the others was cute, it just didn't save the episode.
This gets a "Poor." |

| | I loved the new opening with incuding Rj the Purplw Wolf Ranger it was awesome. When the rangers where fighting the mosters since they where too powerful I thought maybe they should Jungle Master Mode up so they can have extra power so they can really finish them off. |
